TELEMEDICINE INSTRUCTIONS and LOG IN
You should receive a text message on your smart phone (the number we have on file…you must update with us)
The text message will have a click on link….then allow your phone to access microphone and video
Pick a good location that has strong 5 bar cellular signal or strong Wi-fi signal
1. Sleep apnea patients—-please complete the EPWORTH SLEEPINESS scale form (scroll down) ….BEFORE you see us in the waiting room. Please provide Dr. Millman with your TOTAL at end of scale
2. ALL patients—for your optimal care, we ask that you check your vital signs 15-30 minutes
You will need to check your vital signs 15-30 minutes before your time—-
Pulse ox meter (get any any local pharmacy, Online, Scrubs and More stores)
Blood pressure cuff (good brands are Omron, Welch-Allen) and digital thermometer.
Please check your blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and your pulse ox reading at rest and with 3 minutes of walking.
Record these down…Dr. Millman will ask you these for these readings. This is for your safety and optimal care.
3. Review ALL your medications BEFORE. Please have your updated list ready. Be ready to know your name of ALL your inhalers (yes ALL!) prior to video chatting. Otherwise, Dr. Millman will be delayed for his next patient as well.
4. Just as if in you were in our office, our staff will collect copays and balances (but over the phone now). Note—all unpaid balances must be paid prior to the video chat (unless payment arrangements have been paid). See our financial policy as well
5. All less than 48 hours and no show policies still apply (regardless of COVID-19)
6. We strongly recommend yearly flu vaccines for the PUBLIC and your safety. Just like COVID-19, flu is a PUBLIC health issue. Don’t be selfish …. protect others in the world.
